The Leonardo Express is the fastest way of getting to Rome from Fiumicino Airport. This train connects Fiumicino with Termini - main strain station in Rome. It takes roughly 32 minutes with scheduled departures every 15 minutes (depending on the time of the day) from 5:35 a.m. to 10:35 at Termini and from 6:23 a.m. to 11:23 at Fiumicino Airport.
The Leonardo Express goes directly to Roma Termini station from where you can easily reach your accommodation either by metro, tram, bus or taxi or catch a train to your next destination like Florence, Venice or Milan.
After collecting your luggage just follow the signs to the train. It's about 5-7 minute walk from the baggage carousels to the train. Before you enter the train platforms, there are ticket kiosks where you can buy your tickets. Once you have your ticket in hand, pass it through the scanner and head to the train platform. Look at the display to check the platform number of the next train to Rome Termini.
The Leonardo Express boasts plenty of comfortable seats and room for your luggage either on racks above the seats or in luggage areas at the front and back of the train cars. You can also opt to keep your bags by your seat as long as the train isn't too crowded.
The journey takes around 32 minutes with no intermediate stops. Once you arrive to Termini you can exit onto Via Marsala to the right side, onto Via Giolitti to the left side or onto Piazza dei Cinquecento straight away. You can catch Metro line A and B, take a taxi ride or bus to your final destination.
