Rome's airport Leonardo da Vinci known also as Fiumicino airport is the main airport of Italy. It is situated 26 km southwest of Rome and is connected to city by road and train.
The airport has three terminals: Terminal A (for domestic flights), Terminal B (for domestic and international flights) and Terminal C (for transatlantic flights). The Leonardo Express is the direct train that serves the route between the airport and Termini Station in the centre of Rome. The train departs every 30 minutes and take about 30 minutes. The cost is €14 one-way.
There is another kind of train you can take from the airport - a regional train. These trains are slower and they don't go to Termini. They take slower route to Rome, making several stops before arriving to Rome. The Rome stops inlcude Trastevere, Ostiente, Tuscolana and Tiburtina. So if you accommodation is in these areas this might be a good options.
There are also Frecciargento trains which runs to Termini but continue to Florence. The cost is 19€ and you have asigned seat.
You can take one of many bus lines from Fiumicino to Termini Station. You will find buses at arrival terminals.
